Who can play?

We have divisions for all players - from 3 year olds to end of High School.

Children as young as three years old can join if they are ready to kick a ball and play as part of a group.  In general, nursery schoolers should sign up for the "Pre-K" Division, kindergartners for the "K" Division, first-graders for Division One, and so on.  First-grade girls and older have the option of choosing "all-girls" or "coed."

  • September 4 -- 10 am to Noon, Walk-in registration, behind TP community center, 7500 Maple Ave
  • September 11/12 -- Practices start for older teams
  • September 18/19 -- All teams in action
  • Early November -- Season ends

Times & Places

We play on fields in either Takoma Park or Silver Spring.  (Click here for a complete list.)

The "Pre-K" and "Pre-K-3" (pre-school) divisions play for one hour on the weekends.  You can choose from six slots -- 9:00 am, 10:00 am, or 4:00 pm on Saturday, or 9:30 am, 1:00 pm, or 4:00 pm on Sunday.

The "K" (kindergarten) division plays a 90-minute session either mid-day Saturday or Sunday afternoon; your choice.

First-graders and older have a weekday practice and a weekend game.  All-girls teams always play on Sunday afternoon, and Co-ed teams play on Saturday (with a few exceptions).

 


Friendships born on the field of athletic strife are the real gold of competition.
